IT Project Manager will provide Project Management Consulting and Management of customer IT programs/projects in areas of project development, execution & control, project close and review. Candidates would be expected to identify creative solutions to achieve high levels of customer/project team satisfaction. Focus should be on satisfying customers on issues of greatest importance through excellent delivery of efficient, professional, and results oriented project/program management services.
Key tasks within this position include but are not limited to: Prepare Project Definition Document for the Customer Projects Work with stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and resource requirements Work with project members to complete Project Planning Manage project implementations ensuring they were completed on time, within budget and performed as planned. Manage customer expectation ensuring project goals are being met, on time and within budget Work with management and stakeholders during the execution of the project in terms of project control, progress reporting, quality assurance, financial management, risk management and escalation. Develop and maintain best practices for project management implementation strategy. Act as interface with the project sponsor to ensure customer satisfaction with the project delivery Facilitate effective status communications between account teams and customers
Skills/Certifications: A proven track record managing projects in a global IT environment. Strong Team and project leadership skills required. Excellent presentation, writing, and project management skills with ability to lead large services engagements. PMI or PMP certification strongly desired 7+ years experience with Project Management techniques. 7+ years experience as an IT Project Manager Candidate must have at least 3-5 years' experience managing application development projects and/or infrastructure projects Ability to use Microsoft office suite applications Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Project Management tools MS Project. Knowledge or experience with SDLC application development methodologies and their practical application preferred. Ability to work on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution Strong understanding of cost, schedule, quality constraints in complex IT projects. Proven ability to “frame” statements of work and create relevant supporting cost models. Strong awareness of effective change management techniques and practices. Ability to facilitate communication among various areas and groups. Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Education: Computer Science Bachelors degree
